Both SK Gaming and fnatic had already qualified for the ESWC finals in San Jose when advancing from the semi-finals. The final should determine who would receive travel and accommodation and who should only get accommodation.

The grand final should be battled out on only one map, even though the semi-finals got played best of three maps.
